Designations – Falsework Chamber

The Institute for Work at HeightDesignations – Falsework Chamber

Falsework Chamber

The IWH Professional Body’s Falsework Chamber represents all persons involved with working at height whilst using any available falsework systems or falsework components. Falsework may incorporate access and working platforms which are used to erect and dismantle the components that make up a falsework system. Alternatively, independent scaffolding may be erected within or adjacent to the erected temporary falsework structure.

At this point in time, there are no registered SAQA “professional designations” with regards to Falsework. Training providers may however apply for recognition of their ‘Non-NQF programmes’ (not linked to SAQA registered unit standards) with the IWH Prof Body. For more information on how to apply for approval of your Non-NQF Learning programmes on Falsework, please go to the drop down button on our website.

All persons working with a falsework system or falsework components must receive the relevant training. The training must be presented by a reputable training provider and the training material should at least include a comprehensive risk/safety procedure, product identification and the safe erection, use and dismantling of falsework.
